On May 17, Shopee announced some results of its operation in Brazil, highlighting the decrease – almost by half – of the loss per delivery.

In the Balance Sheet, the company highlighted that, according to data collected by Google Play and AppStore, in Brazil, in the first quarter of 2022, the Shopee app led downloads, as well as time spent by users.

In terms of website consumer traffic, Shopee grew 74% in April, despite the industry’s decline.

This May, Shopee received the approval of the Central Bank (BC) to operate as a payment institution.

Even with such positive results, Sea, the group of which Shopee is a part, reported a total loss of US$ 580.1 million, compared to last year, which added up to a loss of US$ 422.1 million.< /p>
